Helko Pro Series Woodworker Axe is a Professional cutting axe that utilizes a traditional German wide-bit blade to be used for heavy cutting and felling tasks. Helko Werk sharp, slim, wide-bit woodworker head will outperform most American patterned felling axes at cutting tasks, and is quite capable for splitting work as well.

The Helko Pro Series was created for the discerning professional. These tools are designed to withstand long term rigorous use with utmost consideration to safety. All Helko Werk axes and mauls incorporate a safety screw installed through the head into the handle to prevent the head from working free of the shaft. The powder coated sheet steel overstrike protector reduces shaft wear and breakage, and protects against miss swings.  Helko Werk has earned a reputation as a premier maker of the best axes in the world.

This is a magnificent axe. You can see the quality through and through. I will be buying more axe products from these folks because I have bought other axes and after using them a short time, the edges chip and you can tell the metal is just soft garbage. I highly recommend this axe.

Great axe. Size gives great chopping power without adding extra length or weight. I will get a lot of use from this one, and pass it down when I’m done.

I hate to use it

This axe is a piece of art. I hate to use it. Though I am not an axe connoisseur this is the best axe I have seen and own. Impeccable craftsmanship with exacting German standards. Purchasing this axe is a no brainer.
